All-Party Parliamentary Group on Epilepsy at Westminster

| The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Epilepsy meets regularly (four times a year) whilst Parliament
is in session to address the needs of over 440,000 people with epilepsy in the United Kingdom. The
Group brings together those interested in epilepsy issues and provides MPs with information and access
to expert opinion. |

The next meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Epilepsy will be advised as soon as
possible.

The current Officers of the group are:

Edward Timpson MP(Conservative)

Treasurer: John Battle MP (Labour)
Membership is open to all Members of Parliament and to organisations interested and involved in
epilepsy care. Members of the APG on Epilepsy come from all the major political parties, working together to
promote the interests of people with epilepsy, their families and carers. Members of the public can observe Group
meetings by prior arrangement with the Secretariat (see below).
Activities have focused on raising awareness of epilepsy, exploring issues such as access to
health service provision, epilepsy awareness in education, employment, and social opportunities
The Joint Epilepsy Council (JEC) provides the Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group
on Epilepsy.
