Better management of care and resources is needed to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the epilepies. This could prevent more than 400 deaths per year, bring thousands more people into jobs and boost the education of young people with epilepsy. It could also save Government over £220 million a year.

The Joint Epilepsy Council of 23 epilepsy charities is calling for a change.
