Young Epilepsy (formerly NCYPE) is a national charity and the UK's major provider of specialist services for children and young people aged 5 to 25 with complex epilepsy and other neurological conditions. It aims to create better futures for young lives with epilepsy.
It has a 60 acre campus in Lingfield, Surrey, which provides day and residential education places through its St Piers School and Further Education College for up to 52 weeks a year. It also provides a world class medical centre – the Neville Childhood Epilepsy Centre - which offers a full range of epilepsy diagnostic, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and outreach services to children aged 3 and upwards from across the UK.
Young Epilepsy also runs a 'Childhood Epilepsy Information Service', which offers training to professionals in both the medical and education sectors as well as an Epilepsy Education 4 Schools Programme. Its 'Champions for Childhood Epilepsy Campaign' aims to work with decision makers in the education and health services to improve services for children and young people with epilepsy throughout the UK.
