Epilepsy Action is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the second round of our new funding scheme called “Diamond Projects”. The idea of Diamond Projects is to support valuable community based projects that improve the lives of people with epilepsy, which may not otherwise happen.

The scheme should lead to a long lasting legacy of success, as projects deliver their goals in the future. Epilepsy Action hopes to fund a minimum of ten projects a year (maximum grant £5,000).

If you, or your colleague, has an idea, or a project, in mind to improve the lives of people with epilepsy, why not apply for a grant? During round one, we received some interesting applications from a variety of epilepsy organisations, including NHS trusts, youth epilepsy groups, and other epilepsy organisations. We will be reporting on these soon, once the projects are underway.

Applications for round two opened on 1 December and close on 31 January 2011. Successful applicants will be informed by 30 April 2011.
