New Epilepsy Scotland Publications

Epilepsy Scotland have recently released two brand new publications aimed at pre-school and early primary children. The book
s colourfully illustrate the stories of epilepsy sufferers and their friends and family, showing the way in which common scenarios can be dealt with.

Farah and Ted Visit the Hospital tells the story of a young girl who is going through the process of beingdiagnosed with epilepsy.  In the story, Farah visits the hospital for tests withher parents and her favouritecompanion Ted.

Brian Learns about Epilepsy
is a book for young children who know someone who has epilepsy.  In the story, Brian goes to a birthday party and sees someone having a seizure. Later hismum explains to him that she hasepilepsy too. This book helps to introduce the topic of epilepsy to children and to teach them what to do if someone has a seizure.

Both books have been beautifully illustrated and are designed for 2-7 year olds. They can be read to younger children or be read by older primary children themselves.
